Abstract

This research funded by FAMSI is to establish methods to evaluate the DNA from a set of human skeletons pertaining to the Early and Late Classic royal tombs from Calakmul. This research is to analyze as many sets of remains as possible and to establish genetic relationships between the individuals.

Resumen

Esta investigación, financiada por FAMSI, está motivada por establecer métodos aptos para la evaluación del ADN derivado de un serie de esqueletos humanos provenientes de presuntas tumbas dinásticas fechadas para el Clásico Temprano y Tardío. Los protocolos establecidos tienen como objetivo analizar los esqueletos que se permiten someter a este tipo de análisis para determinar relaciones genéticas entre los individuos que conforman la muestra
