Postclassic Societies and its Architecture: El Rey, Quintana Roo
Sebastiaan Roeling
Abstract
An architectural style contains specific characteristics that identifies the work with the community that created it. It is closely connected with the culture it belongs to. The architectural styles and the relationship between them give us the opportunity to reconstruct Postclassic societies of settlements like El Rey. Research indicates that Postclassic El Rey developed a society that saw opportunities for the entire community.
